"Adelaide has the ability to capture the spirit of the horse and mold it into something beautiful."
- Gina Monties (Pro XC Rider)
In the countryside of Golden Hills Valley lives a small farm by the name Winter Livery. Owned by Charles Winterstep, and his wife, Kristen, Winter Livery was a successful and well known boarding stable. The couple had two children, one of which passed away at the young age of 4, the other, Adelaide, became their pride and joy, a representation of how beauty arises even in tragic situations. At age 3 Adelaide rode her first pony, a 1985 Welsh. "Stubby" was suited to his name, and proved to be quite a troublemaker, slowly shaping Adelaide in a determined and competitive young rider. At age 7 she received Silverdew, a young Jorvik Warmblood who later showed with her in the 2001 Young Rider SJ Champs. They both won reserve, qualifying them for the Riddley Trials. Adelaide had 6 months to prepare for the trials, spending many hours every day riding and training, and at 9 years old she won first place. Following Riddley Trials, Adelaide was invited to attend many more shows, and eventually made it onto the front cover of HorseLover Magazine. Aged 14, she attended Kensington, winning reserve there, among an enormous group of top, adult riders. Adelaide vowed to start a stable of her own someday, and as soon as she left her home, she did just that. She worked for Silverglade Winery for one year before becoming the head manager of the stable, soon after purchasing, and co-owning the business with Reed. Adelaide has worked for nearly 5 years now training, raising, breeding and competing all ranges of horses. Her brand, Silverglade Equestrian pursues success through quality work, and mirrors Adelaide's go getting personality. Still a strong competitor in the ring, Adelaide now devotes her time to managing a large group of workers, and caring for her few, yet excellent horses.
